At San Jacinto Monument
MISSION STATEMENT "To provide fellowship with and support one another and To encourage Senior Adults to keep serving and growing in their relationships with Christ."
The trip to SAN JACINTO MONUMENT proved to be a wonderful day. The weather even cooperated! (Albeit "windy" at the top of the monument!) Monument Inn's food was fantastic! And the ferry ride -- fun! It's great to be a "kid" for a while!! You need to join us for these "day trips" -- we always have a blast!
The next event is on March 30th -- Bruce Ammon's Seminar "Finances After 50". This will be in our Fellowship Hall at 10:00 a.m. beginning with Brunch. We plan to offer this to our community, so help us spread the word. Bruce was with us last month (Conquering Debt -- God's Way) and those in attendance benefited greatly. Don't miss this opportunity!
HYMN SING at Dallas Baptist University is Friday, April 16th. There is no charge for the concert, so the only expense will be lunch on the way. We'll stop at Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana on the way home. Call for your spot on the bus NOW!
BLUE BELL CREAMERY- BLUEBONNETS - TEXAS BAPTIST HISTORY MUSEUM is on our agenda for Tuesday, April 27th. The bus is already filling for this daytrip, so call for your seat now.
Some of our Seniors and Youth are getting to know each other better as we have teamed up to pray for each other. Let us know if you would like to become a prayer partner!
There was awesome information on future programs for Senior Adults at the Houston County Senior Adult Fair held in our Fellowship Hall on March 3rd. Your Ministry Team will be planning for you to be the recipient of this good information in the future. Please remember to pray for your Senior Adult Ministry Team and give us any ideas you are interested in.
